The Equine Industry in the Hills of Headwaters: Assessing Tourism Potential

The Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association, with support from the Ontario Ministry of Tourismís Investment Development Office and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, has embarked on a comprehensive research study to assess the tourism potential of the equestrian sector within the Hills of Headwaters region.

The survey and information collection phase of the project is now over. Thank you to all who contributed!

Assessment Report

We are pleased to report that over 40 local equestrian operators attended the March 29th meeting at Teen Ranch to learn more about the tourism potential of the equestrian sector in the Hills of Headwaters. The enthusiasm this project has generated has been overwhelming. As an outcome of the meeting, 18 equine operators have volunteered to form a project committee to begin implementing some of the recommendations in the report. The project committee will report back to the larger equestrian community in the Hills of Headwaters.
