Kingfisher Gardens & The Nursery

Set in scenic Hockley Valley, minutes from Orangeville, & an hour’s drive from the GTA, Guelph, Barrie & Collingwood, landscape designer David Warburton has created an enchanting & unique cottage garden. Created to set off his story book straw-bale & Adirondack cottage, the show gardens reflect his passion for plants of every description but especially the unusual & hard to find. The gardens were also designed as teaching tools to provide visitors with a menu of plants to suit every condition: sun, shade & bog, which they can then apply to conditions in their own gardens.  Adirondack elements: bridges, gates, a pergola & a lean-to, both beautify the garden & suggest to visitors how they might use similar structures. The water element: a stream, a pond, a bog heavily planted with marginal plants & the Nottawasaga River completes the delightful picture.

Hockley Organics

We are proud & excited to offer Hockley Organics fertilizers & garden care products. These are the same outstanding formulations we use to create & maintain our beautiful client & show gardens. We use organics, not out of sentiment or fashion but because they give us far better performance than chemicals. We carry fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides & bug repellent (excellent for children). If you use these products you are doing something good for your garden & something responsible for yourself, your kids & our planet.

Over the course of the year the New School offers a variety of seasonal courses that will inspire your imagination and creativity. It will also provide you with valuable information & practical advice that you can use in your own garden and home.
