Fondues, Chocolate Cake and Fun Kitchen Toys
Many of you will remember fondues as a trend in the 1970s — guess what; they’re back, and better than ever. Fondues lend themselves very nicely to casual, informal entertaining. After a day of skiing, hiking or snowshoeing, invite friends back to your home, light a blazing fire, and gather around the fondue pot with a fine glass of wine and some great conversation.
You can “fondue” with meats, cheeses and even desserts. Consider our feature 3-in-1 fondue by Swissmar which can accommodate all three types of fondues.

An Award-Winning Canadian Classic On Stage at Theatre Orangeville
Theatre Orangeville is proud to present The Drawer Boy by Michael Healey on stage from February 15 to March 4. This winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award, and 4 Dora Mavor Moore Awards, will stay with audiences long after the curtain closes. The Drawer Boy is directed by David Nairn and stars Jefferson Mappin, Booth Savage, and Jeff Giles.
The story takes place in the 1970’s. A naive Toronto actor named Miles approaches middle-aged farmers, Angus and Morgan, to let him document their lives as farmers in exchange for his help as a farm hand. As Miles probes into their lives, Angus and Morgan’s lives begin to unwind under the scrutiny of his questions. What ensues is a poignant, and sometimes humorous, revealing look at love, friendship, and sacrifice. “Wonderfully understated. Funny and deeply affecting" -Toronto Sun (Five stars)
Book now! Call Theatre Orangeville’s Box Office.

Books and Authors
Meet Porcupine's Quill authors Paul Glennon and Sharon English.
Sunday, 25 February, 2007.
3:00pm to 5:00pm at Renaissance, 60 Main
Street, Erin Village
The Dodecahedron, a novel (of sorts) by Paul Glennon and Zero Gravity,
a second collection of stories by Sharon English both appeared on the
Globe & Mail's annual list of the Top 100 books reviewed in the Globe
in 2006. Both books were published in Erin Village by Tim & Elke
Inkster at the Porcupine's Quill, about which critic Philip Marchand
has written: 'In my sixteen years of reviewing Canadian literature for the
Toronto Star, I have found that the Porcupine's Quill has upheld the
most consistently high level of excellence of any of the literary
presses in this country. Its output alone would put Canada on a firm
international footing in contemporary world literature.'
