In the moonlight, a ghostly cloud glides overhead, trailing a long white veil. The wind puts down the leaves and stops to watch… White feathers fall in a soundless sigh.
Spend a day in the Towns and Villages of Headwaters. We'll help you decorate for the Holiday. We'll show you the one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts for the one-of-a-kind person you're shopping for. We'll serve you meals that will stick to your ribs or dazzle your taste buds. We'll make you laugh, or cry or reminisce in our beautifully restored theatres …and sing along to the songs that carollers used to bring to your front door when the evening brought snow.
Stay the night. We'll make you welcome in our many inns and B&Bs. Curl up in front of a crackling fire… carry that beautiful warmth to your cozy bed… and watch the snow outside your window sift softly down.
In a little more than an hour you can go back a hundred years… Experience the Towns and Villages of Headwaters this Christmas season.

Annual traditions are a way of acknowledging the passage of time. A perfectly lovely tradition to mark on your calendar is the annual Celtic Christmas show at The Burdette Gallery in Orton. The opening reception of 'Celtic Christmas' is Saturday November 18th, 6-9 p.m. and promises to once again, warm the heart and delight the senses. Myths and ancient legends are chronicled along with contemporary interpretation of historical events in a variety of mediums. Works of the group of artists featured include designs on stone, pottery, Celtic illumination; wooden bowls and fine jewellery, any of which would make an exquisite Christmas gift. Live music, festive fare and an opportunity to meet some of the artists will make this event one of your annual traditions.
The show runs from November 18th through to the New Year.
