The Millcroft Spa, Centre for Well-Being Voted Top Detox Spa in Canada

In January, 2008, The Millcroft Inn & Spa took a large step toward its goal to position itself as a wellness destination when it launched a Four-Day Naturopathic Detox Getaway. This package was developed via a partnership between The Millcroft Inn & Spa and Orangeville-based Dr. Wendy Davis, N.D. of Harmony Health Naturopathic Clinic. It's purpose is to help people who are motivated to take control of their health by providing an assessment of their current state of wellness – which is determined by Dr. Davis – and then educating them on how to make short-term and long-term improvements to their well being.
The getaway includes private pre and post-program consultations with Dr. Davis (to assess current health status and measure improvement throughout the program), a customized itinerary of detoxifying spa treatments and activities – based on one's particular health status, a daily menu of detoxifying gourmet meals and snacks, and four (4) restful nights of accommodation. The meals and the Spa treatments are specially selected to 'kick-start' the body's natural toxin-ridding abilities, while relaxing the body and mind – thereby lowering stress levels.
 Guests who participate in this program also receive a personalized binder that includes a daily itinerary, a list of benefits of various spa treatments, recipes and other information to help guide him/her down the path to better health after the program is complete.

The Millcroft launches Ontario's first and only Naturopathic Detox Getaway
Medically-supervised detox getaways are now available in Ontario, courtesy of The Millcroft Inn & Spa in the Village of Alton – Caledon and Harmony Health Naturopathic Clinic in Orangeville.
The Millcroft Four-Day Naturopathic Detox Getaway, which was developed via a partnership between The Millcroft Inn & Spa and Orangeville-based Dr. Wendy Davis, N.D. of Harmony Health Naturopathic Clinic, is the first and only detox program of its kind in Ontario - and one of a small few in Canada.
This getaway and program is intended specifically for people who are motivated to take control of their well being, and who are interested in learning how to live a healthier lifestyle. The programming includes tried and tested tactics that facilitate the body's natural ability to rid itself of environmental and chemical toxins – which are the leading causes of the majority of modern-day ailments.
The Millcroft Four-Day Naturopathic Detox Getaway effectively marries the features for which The Millcroft Inn & Spa is renowned ( i.e. beautiful and serene settings, award-winning 'Four Diamond' gourmet cuisine, and The Millcroft Spa, Centre for Well-Being's industry-leading facilities and quality of service), to the expert application of Naturopathic assessment and treatment techniques by Dr. Wendy Davis.
